Personalized Patient Approach

Over time, with an understanding of the importance of personality in interpersonal communication, various personality models have been developed. Neva Training presents the DISC model, which is based on laborious studies conducted by psychologist William Marston and later developed by psychologist John Geier. According to this model, depending on 2 axes targeting the way of perception of the environment and how to perceive itself in each environment, people are found in 4 large personality styles, which bring different behavioral trends and limitations. The acronym DISC comes from the name of each personality style: dominant, influential, stable and conscientious. You will receive this course not only video, workshops, and exercises, but also personal discovery questionnaires, one of which will help you identify your personality style.

Once you’ve learned the main features of each style, it’s time to discover how you can identify your patient’s personality style. You will get all the information needed to easily discover what personality style the patient has, especially that kind of patient that you feel you are not resonating with well enough. You’ll also get ideas about expected, accurate behaviors so you can understand how you’ll be able to relate more easily with every personality style in the future.

The personality model we are addressing is a highly effective tool for communicating with the patient, knowing the personality style of each patient being followed, naturally and consciously, by his personalized approach, every Moment of interaction. Any personality style would have your patient, you will learn how to behave in general, what kind of approach is needed, how to ask questions for a complete anamnesis and how to communicate its diagnosis and therapeutic indications, to be sure they will follow them exactly.
